Pull your joy forward.
I’ve had this phrase rattling around my head for a while now.
It bubbled up from the ether and won’t let me go.
For much of my teens and 20’s, I left the things that brought me joy out there at the end of sentences that start with “Once I…”, “One day…” etc. as I traded them (and my soul) for success and security.
Pull your joy forward has become my mantra for creating space now for the people, pursuits, and experiences that bring me joy and fulfillment. To practice trusting that by living the present moments well, those big goals and dreams will have a way of working themselves out in their own time.
