The reward for a life well lived, is a life well lived

On the fleetingness of life and the benefits of not believing in an afterlife.

An interesting byproduct of my waining belief in an afterlife has been a deep sense of urgency and a vivid appreciation for just how fleeting the time we’ve been allotted is.

Believing you only have this one opportunity, this one set of 3 billion heartbeats, makes a positively deep impression on you.

It begs you to live life with a desperate earnest and a deep presence.

This is it.

There is no second take, no extension, no encore, for a life well lived.

The only reward for a life well lived, is a life well lived.
